POSITION TITLE:

Maintenance Supervisor, Building II

 

RESPONSIBLE TO:

Maintenance Director, System-Wide

 

JOB CLASSIFICATION:

Classified Position.  239 day Employee-At-Will

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs major and minor maintenance tasks. Plans, coordinates and leads the work of building maintenance personnel and assists with construction projects on campus.

           

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance
  2. Completes all minor tasks in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC (heating and air conditioning controls).
  3. Works with system-wide Maintenance Director in the procurement of items necessary for the maintenance of the building.
  4. Coordinates work of outside technicians.
  5. Plans work of custodians, in coordination with the school Principal and the System-wide Maintenance Director or the System Chief Operations Officer.
  6. Supervises assigned building maintenance personnel.
  7. Maintains time cards.
  8. Initiates requisitions for materials and supplies.
  9. Maintains inventory system of cleaning equipment.
  10. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the school Principal, System-Wide Maintenance Director or the System Chief Operations Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:

High school diploma or GED certificate

 

Experience:

Fifteen (15) years of experience in these fields: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, HVAC (heating and air conditioning controls). Preferred: Commercial Plumbing license.

 

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

Ability to work in all areas of maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment. Ability to work well with people.
