After School, Before School and Camp Site Supervisor, Marietta Community School Program

JOB CLASSIFICATION:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides leadership and coordination to the local school ASP/BSP and Camp programs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
- Supervises program operations and staff. Conducts and attends staff meetings. Plans and secures daily snack. Accounts for snacks following FNS guidelines.
- Communicates in a professional manner with all stakeholders.
- Oversees student and instructor activities. Fosters and developments an environment that is engaging, student-focused and safe
- Creates employee schedule monthly based upon historical daily enrollment and ratio requirements.
- Communicates and conferences with parents regarding billing, discipline and safety concerns. Creates and delivers past-due balance payment requests weekly.
- Conducts investigations into discipline matters. Follows due process and ASP/BSP Discipline Procedure Manual.
- Reviews and approves timesheets each week and ensures that payroll is input timely and accurately. Reviews ASP balances with Program Supervisor (Marietta Community School) to ensure that program is meeting required fund balance and operating financially healthy. Ensures that parents are provided accurate statements when requested. Reviews and researches invoices upon parent request. Accepts and enters payments into the registration management system. Receipts and deposits cash payments as directed by Financial Services guidelines and the ASP/BSP Employee Handbook.
- Ensures that all certification documentation is current and maintained according to Bright from the Start compliance requirements.
- Ensures that required materials, supplies and equipment are available.
- Implements appropriate procedures for severe weather, fire, accidents, fights, personnel conflicts, etc. Implements site safety plan.
- Conferences with parents regarding their student’s behavior in the program.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School graduate or GED required; Bachelor Degree preferred
Certifications/License Required:
- CPR and First Aid Certification (completed within 90 days from hire date)
- 10 Hours online Health and Safety training as required by Bright from the Start (completed within 90 days of hire date)
- Valid GA Teaching Certificate preferred
Experience:
3 years’ experience in education or working with children
1-year supervisory experience preferred
Successful teaching experience
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
Oral and written communication
Student management
Knowledge of site safety procedures
Must be able to participate in routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.
